Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Understand the theoretical and methodological fundamentals in arts, science, engineering and construction to solve problems involving these disciplines
    • Identify, describe and explain the basic artistic, scientific and mathematical principles
    • Select and thoroughly apply knowledge, methods and tools in arts, sciences, engineering sciences and construction to solve problems involving these disciplines
  • Communicate in a structured way - visually, orally and in writing, in French and English - giving clear, accurate, and reasoned information
    • Argue to and persuade a project owner, teachers and a board orally, with visual aids and in writing
    • Use several methods of written and graphic communication: text, tables, equations, sketches, maps, graphs, etc.

Type of Assessment for UE in Q1

  • Written examination
  • Remediation test

Q1 UE Assessment Comments

In Algebra 1 : During the session a half-day written  exam in person on both parts (theory and exercises) accounts for 90% of the AA grade. The weighting of the two parts (theory and exercises) is equally divided. Continuous evaluation (remediation test, other tests) accounts for 10% of the AA grade.

The evaluation procedures are likely to be adjusted according to
the educational/assessment context imposed by health measures.

In Analysis 1 : .The evaluation focuses on the understanding of the ex-cathedra course both
in theory and in exercises.
The evaluation methods are likely to be adjusted according to the context
imposed by the health measures.
- If the evaluation is organized physically:
A written exam accounting for 90% of the AA grade.
Continuous evaluation (remediation test, other tests) accounts for 10% of the AA grade.
- If the evaluation is organized remotely:
It consists of a written exam carried out in the form of a multiple choice
test via Moodle (limited time) with possible delivery of pictures of more
important mathematical developments (also in limited time).
In the event that a continuous evaluation has been carried out,
it will count for 10% of the AA grade and the exam via Moodle for 90%.
In the event that it has not been possible to carry out continuous evaluation,
the exam via Moodle will count for 100% of the mark.
In all cases (physically or remotely), if several parts are to
be completed during the evaluation, an exclusion mark (the final
mark is equal to the minimum mark of the different parts) will
possibly be introduced and announced before the exam (if so,
it will be announced before the exam).

Type of Assessment for UE in Q3

  • Written examination

Q3 UE Assessment Comments

In Algebra 1 : During the session, written examination in person covering both parts (Exercices : 50 % - Theory : 50 %). This examination is organized the same half-day as Analysis 1.

The evaluation procedures are likely to be adjusted according to
the educational/assessment context imposed by health measures.

Type of Resit Assessment for UE in Q1 (BAB1)

  • Written examination
