Programme component

Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Understand the theoretical and methodological fundamentals in psychology and educational sciences to analyse a situation involving these disciplines
    • Identify and describe the biological and socio-cultural foundations of human behaviour
    • Explain and give examples of human functioning, including in its atypical and pathological dimensions
  • Provide clear, accurate, and reasoned information
    • Provide information (both orally and in writing) regarding the fields of psychology and educational sciences in an intelligible manner, with a good command of the language communication techniques.
  • Grow personally and professionally
    • Develop their scientific curiosity and open-mindedness
    • Understand the various means available for documentation, to promote self-learning and lifelong learning
  • Understand the fundamentals related to the scientific approach in psychology or educational sciences
    • Identify and describe the specific characteristics of scientific processes
    • Identify and explain the main methods (including limitations) specific to the scientific process

Learning Outcomes of UE

At the end of the course, students will have basic knowledge about cellular composition of nervous system, cell physiology and anatomy of the nervous system. They will learn also scientific wordings in order to understand biological information about nervous system

Content of UE

Structure of Nervous system, Functions of nervous system
Cellular composition of nervous system: neurons, glial cells
Electrical activity of neurons
Synaptic transmission
Neuroanatomy: enteric nervous system, autonomic nervous system, somatic system, spinal cord, brain.
Brain regionalisation: nuclei, cortical area, cerebral functions
The nervous sytem: a dynamic strucure. Development, plasticity, aging. Components tha influence development and nervous physiology
The course is given in French, if possible face to face.
