      Organisational online arrangements for the end of Q3 2020-2021 assessments (Covid-19)

      Description of the modifications to the Q3 2020-2021 assessment procedures (Covid-19)
      The oral examination will take place face to face at the University. It will include open questions and analysis or comment of experimental results in the Neuropharmacology field. The exam will last 20 minutes and will be done in English. Your time schedule will be transmitted by Moodle examens

      Description of the modifications to the Q1 2020-2021 online assessment procedures (Covid-19) online or face-to-face (according to assessment schedule)

      The written exam will take place by Moodle Exam. It will include open questions and analysis or comment of experimental results in the Neuropharmacology field. 

      Content of Learning Activity

      Reminders on Physiology of Nervous system: Neurotransmitters, Neuromodulators, Ion Channels, Blood Brain Barrier, agonist/antagonist, allosteric modulators.
      Discovery and development of neurotropic drugs: therapeutic target, in vitro/ in vivo models, distribution, Safety/ Toxicity.
      Pharmacological agents for treatment of Epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, Depression, Anxiety, Sleep disorders, Schizophrenia, Neuropathic Pain. Addictions and their treatments. General Anesthesia. Drugs for treatment of Multiple Sclerosis.
      Other pharmacological and non pharmacological approaches for treatment of neurological and psychiatric disorders.
      Neuropharmacology's limits. Next topics of research in neuropharmacology and challenges for the future.
