Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
- Implement an academic view on knowledge, particularly through the mastery of methods and literature research tools.
- Understand, synthesise and discuss complex information and texts on economics and management.
- Summarise the contributions of different sources to justify an opinion or decision
- Develop and structure reasoning by basing it on suitable scientific arguments
- Acquire basic methodological tools necessary for scientific inquiry in the field of economics and management.
- Conduct relevant research from scientific literature and select appropriate elements with respect to a particular research topic.
- Give a critique and argue a point of view as part of a scientific approach
- Mobilise communication skills in two languages other than French, both orally and in writing, as a presentation of an argument or piece of research in accordance with scientific ethics.

Learning Outcomes of UE
At the end of the instruction, the students will be able to: - Part 1 : understand a firm organisation through the visit of plants; - Part 2 : read, understand, summarize and discuss scientific papers, prepare a scientific report concerning a topic chosen by the student, it will also be the case during his master degree for several classes and for the master's thesis.
Content of UE
Initiation to documentary research and to scientific papers's analysis; preparation of a scientific report; visits of at least 1 plant for each student, among those organised by the faculty.

FIRST SESSION EXCLUSIVELY. NO SECOND SESSION FOR THIS ACTIVITY Scientific papers's analysis (30%) Scientific report (50%): Presentation and oral defence (20%) If the student did not attend 1 visit and 1 conference's day, he is not allowed to present his report. If the student did not respect the time schedule during the academic year, he is penalised by 1 point for all the days he was late.
