Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Cognitive Skills - Possess a solid theoretical grounding in translation and/or interpretation and be able to apply it to the professional practice thereof and actively pursue further independent development of it.
    • Develop the necessary analytical and synthesis faculties to be able to understand and work on complex texts.
  • Ethical and Professional Skills - Be in command of the professional context of a translation
    • Manage all phases of a translation from reception of the order to delivery of the final product .
    • Negotiate with the client and provide the services agreed upon.
    • Produce an accurate translation or interpretation in respect of what was agreed with the client and in accordance with accepted quality assessment norms.
    • Abide by ethical norms in force in the profession (discretion, confidentiality, punctuality, etc.).
    • Work as an integral part of a team (translators, revisers, project managers, etc.).

Learning Outcomes of UE

At the end of the internship, students will be able to:
- integrate quickly in a professional environment in the field of translation and linguistic mediation;
- implement the linguistic, cultural, technological and professional skills they have acquired in their education;
- extend autonomously their thematic expertise;
- use their communication and relational skills to continue education by on-the-job training;
- mobilize their cognitive skills to analyze and improve their knowledge and performance.

Content of UE

Internship in a national, international or regional institution, or in another organization where translation or linguistic and cultural mediation are a structured and essential or important activity.
