Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Have acquired highly specialised and integrated knowledge and broad skills in the various disciplines of computer science, which come after those within the Bachelor's in computer science.
  • Manage large-scale software development projects.
    • Apply, mobilise, articulate and promote the knowledge and skills acquired in order to help lead and complete a project.
    • Lead a project by mastering its complexity and taking into account the objectives, allocated resources and constraints that characterise it.
    • Demonstrate independence and their ability to work alone or in teams.
  • Manage research, development and innovation.
    • Understand unprecedented problems in computer science and its applications.
  • Master communication techniques.
    • Communicate, both orally and in writing, their findings, original proposals, knowledge and underlying principles, in a clear, structured and justified manner.
    • Adapt their communication to a variety of audiences.
  • Develop and integrate a high degree of autonomy.
    • Aquire new knowledge independently.
    • Pursue further training and develop new skills independently.
  • Apply scientific methodology.
    • Critically reflect on the impact of IT in general, and on the contribution to projects.

Learning Outcomes of UE

analyse a complex problem; split the problem into quality software components ; build quality software components ; develop the software implementing this resolution with modern programming tools; develop collaborative and communicative attitude by teamworks, presentations in public and written reports; display initiative, innovation and organization (allocation of tasks, synchronization, ...).

Content of UE

The methods used for large software development (MERISE, UML); Software abstraction and decision Life-cycle; The Unified software development process; Agile software development methods (eXtreme Programming, Scrum, TTUP); Software project management (planning, methods of cost estimation, team management); Software testing;  
Implementation of a solution to a complex application. The project is a teamwork, a good coordination is essential. Using standard project management tools s (collaborative portals, Trello, management of versions with SVN or Git, etc.). Study and application of an IT project management method like Prince2. Study and use of software estimation methods.
