Programme component

Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • In the field of biological sciences and particularly in the field of the biochemistry, molecular and cell biology, possess highly specialised and integrated knowledge and a wide range of skills adding to those covered in the Bachelor's programme in biological sciences.

Learning Outcomes of UE

At the end of the course, students are able to extract DNA, to amplify genes, to sequence these genes, read the sequences and suggest phylogenies based on the sequences

Content of UE

Students arrive with the organism they want to sequence and receive an organism non recognizable morphologically. Each student, or student group, get the basic notions about phylogenetic inference and realizes a mini-project during the internship.
