Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Implement an engineering approach dealing with a set problem taking into account technical, economic and environmental constraints
    • Identify and describe the problem to be solved and the functional need (of the project owner) to be met considering the state of technology
    • Identify and acquire the information and skills needed to solve the problem
  • Understand the theoretical and methodological fundamentals in arts, science, engineering and construction to solve problems involving these disciplines
    • Identify, describe and explain the basic artistic, scientific and mathematical principles
    • Identify, describe and explain the basic principles of engineering sciences and construction
    • Understand laboratory techniques: testing, measuring, monitoring protocol, and security
    • Select and thoroughly apply knowledge, methods and tools in arts, sciences, engineering sciences and construction to solve problems involving these disciplines

Learning Outcomes of UE

General knowledge about applied geology related to civil engineering works and mineral materials.
Please see the more detailed description of each teaching activity.

Content of UE

The UE is composed of three different units: Geology of shallow rock formations; Mineral materials and soils; Field trips and visits.
