Learning Outcomes of UE

To analyse the structural elements (verifying conditions of stability, waterproofing, hygrothermic and acoustic comfort, durability, economy, ...) which make up the wall structure/roofing for small or medium sized constructions built in traditional techniques, while studying the aesthetic consequences.

Content of UE


Wood : structure, characteristics, the most commonly used woods, problems, usage and working, reaction to fire, plywood and panelling, flours and parquets, doors, windowframes, surface finishing.
Natural stone : definitions and origins, types, qualities and defects, use and sourcing.
Common or joint ownership: definitions, objectives, insulation, chimneys.
