Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Have acquired highly specialised and integrated knowledge and broad skills in the various disciplines of computer science, which come after those within the Bachelor's in computer science.
  • Apply scientific methodology.
    • Critically reflect on the impact of IT in general, and on the contribution to projects.

Learning Outcomes of UE

- identify and undrestand the role of different systems and protocols allowing to provide mudltimedia applications through the Internet and through access networks; - understand the operation of access networks for providing multimedia contents; 

Content of UE

- Features of MultiMedia applications (phone, video, …) - Mecanisms and protocols used to provide MultiMedia contents: Streaming, multicasting, VoIP, Quality of Service management. - How tro provide Multimedia contents through access networks: case of DOCSIS and xDSL/PON,.. - Acess network: how to improve the energy efficiency (case of PON)

Q1 UE Assessment Comments

The evaluation procedure will be detailed in the first sessions of the AA. In particular, the evaluation procedure includes a "continuous evaluation" part. This part therefore requires an "active participation" of the student, including a minimum participation rate (fixed to 80%)
