Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • In the field of biological sciences and particularly in the field of the biology of organisms and ecology, possess highly specialised and integrated knowledge and a wide range of skills adding to those covered in the Bachelor's programme in biological sciences.
  • Develop and integrate a high degree of autonomy.
    • Aquire new knowledge independently.

Learning Outcomes of UE

The aim of this course is to provide students with general notions of biological Anthropology.

Content of UE

The course is focused on the biological topics of modern Anthropology : 1. Introduction (definition and orientations of modern Anthropology); 2. Evolution of Primates; 3. Evolution and characteristics of Hominidae (Paleoanthropology); 4. Evolution and human behaviour; 5. The race concept and human genetic diversity; 6. Demography
