Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Understand "elementary" mathematics profoundly
    • Understand one- and several-variable differential and integral calculus
  • Solve new problems
    • Use knowledge from different fields to address issues

Learning Outcomes of UE

After this course, the students will be able to:
-Understand the basic foundations of the classical microeconomic theory presented in a quantitative way.
-Acquire a wider knowledge of real markets and their evolution.

Content of UE

Consumer behaviour: static and dynamic analyses, individual and market demand, elasticities, ... Production and cost theory: short and long run, cost minimising production choices, ... Profit maximisation in competitive markets, Monopoly (classical approach).
