Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Solve issues relevant to biology
    • Have developed practical skills in the various fields of biology through practical sessions in the laboratory and in the field, during which they have worked individually or in groups
    • Make accurate observations in the context of activities in the field and in the laboratory
    • Analyse and interpret, in an appropriate way, biological data collected in natura, through dissection or based on an experimental protocol in the laboratory
  • Apply a scientific approach and critical thinking
    • Work with efficiency / accuracy / precision
    • Present a hypothesis and hypothetical-deductive reasoning

Learning Outcomes of UE

At the end of this course, students will have acquired a knowledge of the histological structure of different tissues in mammals both in light and electron microscopy. This course is an indispensable prerequisite for further study of Histology of organs (course of Special Histology) and Comparative Vertebrate Histology.

Content of UE

General histology involves the study of cells and tissue structures in the human body using light and electron microscopy. General histology : Structure of the cell, epithelial cells, contractile cells, connective tissue, nervous tissue, blood cells and bone marrow.
