Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Conduct extensive research and development projects related to biological sciences, in the biology of organisms and ecology.
    • Apply, mobilise, articulate and promote the knowledge and skills acquired in order to help lead and complete a project.
    • Contributing to a project by mastering its complexity and taking into account the objectives, allocated resources and constraints that characterise it.
  • Develop and integrate a high degree of autonomy.
    • Pursue further training and develop new skills independently.

Learning Outcomes of UE

To master techniques in aquariology. After a theoretical introduction to aquariology, students will learn how to manage an artificial mesocosm, and will elaborate their own project to create and manage (possibly virtually) their own mesocosm. A critical inspection of the scientific litterature will be done too.

Content of UE

Aquariology, filtration techniques, maintenance and reproduction of aquatic organisms. Artificial mesocosms: design and maintenance.

Prior Experience

Marine ecology, basic chemistry.
